Consultancy at one of clinical departments of Medicine or research units combined with a clinical professorship in Multimorbidity within internal medicine
A clinical position as consultant at one of
clinical departments or research units at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital
is open for appointment from as soon as possible.
The position is combined with a 5-year externally funded position as clinical
professor in Multimorbidity within internal medicine at the Faculty of Health
and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.
With this new position Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital wishes to
strengthen the leadership in clinical research and teaching in collaboration
with the University of Copenhagen.
It is a requirement that the applicant is accepted for appointment of both the
professorship and the consultancy. In

ABOUT THE HOSPITAL
Organisation
Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital merged 1st of January 2012, as one of
four acute hospitals in the Capital region of Denmark. The hospital is located
at two locations in the center of Copenhagen and serves as a modern city
hospital for 450,000 citizens. The population is characterized by high amount of chronic diseases (e.g.
metabolic, cardiac, lung and abdominal), high un-employment and low income
rates, high rates of chronic conditions and abuse rates picturing a population
with high needs for integrated and tailored care. The hospital consists of 530 beds, and receives 50,000
admittances and 450,000 ambulatory services a year. Nearly all medical specialties are present at
the hospital. The departments have a longstanding
leading position in scientific research and education at a high international
level.
Job description
The job is a
full-time position with 50% obligations at Department of Clinical Medicine at
University of Copenhagen and 50 % obligations at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital,
The Capital Region. The consultant should be active in initiating and
supporting research projects in multimorbidity e.g with a focus on internal
medicine diseases, psychiatric conditions, person centered care,
rehabilitation, or telehealth. A major part of the job is to ensure research
collaborations with the clinical departments at BFH, and across sectors.
Qualifications
We expect a candidate with a medical degree, a PhD degree or a Doctoral
degree and board-certified in the field of internal medicine. Applicants must
have a documented research record that is related conditions with a
multimorbidity aspect.
The position should be filled by someone with proven experience in under- and
postgraduate teaching including course development.
The candidate is expected to contribute to the research area's development
through initiation, support and implementation of research projects and
innovation, in the medical field, interdisciplinary, and across sectors
Conditions
In order to be considered, the applicant must send
an application to both the Faculty (the professorship) and to the hospital (the

Appointment is conditioned by the fact that the applicant obtains both positions.
This also applies to the applicants who are already employed as consultants at
Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital.
As clinical professor at least 50 % of the working time will be allocated to
academic tasks (e.g. research, teaching, evaluation tasks and communication
with the public) in agreement with the Head of Department of Department of
Clinical Medicine at the University of Copenhagen. The remaining time will be
allocated for clinical work in agreement with the head of the Department at Bispebjerg
and Frederiksberg Hospital, where applicant will be appointed. The clinical
professor will receive secretarial or technical support equivalent to 50 % of a
full time secretary position at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital.
Additional support and details on the working conditions must be negotiated
with the head of the department at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital, where
applicant will be appointed.
Salary and conditions of employment as consultant are as agreed between the
Danish Regions and the Danish Association of Medical Specialists and between
the Capital Region/Region Zealand and University of Copenhagen.
