Mentored postdoc or senior researcher available at PMR-C, Amager and Hvidovre Hospital

We are looking for an ambitious, innovative, and team player-oriented researcher to join our team. Your work will focus on acute orthopedic care with a special emphasis on enhanced recovery of patients with different types of fractures. We offer you a 3-year career opportunity under the dedicated mentorship of Professors Kristian Thorborg and Thomas Bandholm. Background
You will be part of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Research – Copenhagen (PMR-C) – a founder-led, incubator framework for the development and completion of innovative, multi-disciplinary, clinical research projects at Amager and Hvidovre Hospital. We have extensive knowledge of idea framing, clinical research methodology, as well as research career development. In the area of rehabilitation science, we focus on simple solutions to complex, real-life, clinical problems. We strive to promote a culture of excellence, integrity, transparency, diversity, and kindness.

Job description
You will join our team of people working with research, developmental, or clinical activities in the Department of Physical- and Occupational Therapy or in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Amager and Hvidovre Hospital (Hvidovre site). You will be responsible for the development of a research area within acute orthopedic care across these two departments – with an emphasis on exercise-based, enhanced recovery after fractures. The development of this area needs to adhere to the overall PMR-C strategy, but you will have a large degree of freedom to shape it. In addition to publication/academic dissemination, you will also be responsible for contributing to continuously develop other activities within PMR-C to help promote our culture (e.g. educational activities, implementation work, and alternative science communication). You will participate in various research collaborations across departments and professions, and you will have the opportunity to participate in relevant courses and conferences. The two Professors associated with PMR-C will commit to mentorship and career development.
