Professor in regenerative medicine (combined position)

The Research Unit and Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology, and the Department of Clinical Research, University of Southern Denmark,  invite applications for a combined post as professor in regenerative medicine and as head of OUH-CELL-BENCH (GMP Cell Facility) in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology.

The time is allocated with 75% to position as university (professor) and 25% to clinical duties.

Expectations of qualifications:

The applicant must be qualified as senior cell biologist within basic and clinical cell therapy and regenerative medicine in general. A special interest and documented experience in cardiovascular regeneration is an advantage, but not a requirement. Furthermore, the applicant will be expected to have experience with clinical cell trials and collaboration with authorities as well as an understanding of, and experience with the clinical environment in a hospital department.

The applicant must be well qualified with a strong research profile in the areas mentioned above. Commitment to teaching and the ability to lead a research group, including experience with attaining funding, supervision of master’s students, PhD students and postdocs are required. 

Emphasis will be on the applicant´s ability to document original scientific production at an international level within the area of stem cell biology and tissue regeneration.
