PREVENTING TYPE 1 DIABETES

The Bartholin Institute, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen has an open PhD position to investigate the pathogenesis and ethiology of type 1 diabetes. The position is 3 years and is financed by external funding.

The PhD student’s duties will primarily include laboratory research, with the purpose of publishing three scientific articles during the period of employment. The subject will relate to the protection from type 1 diabetes by gluten-free diet, and you will deploy animal models and advanced cellular models.

Our projects are highly ambitious, and we look for top qualified and highly motivated applicants, educated within molecular biomedicine, biochemistry, civil engineer, biology, or medicine. Most importantly, you are dedicated, energetic and independent.

We will primarily consider candidates with grades at 10 or above, according to the 7-point Danish grade system.

The Bartholin Institute is located in Copenhagen Biocenter and is part of the department of Pathology, Rigshospitalet. We are ambitious, but informal and have a pleasant and friendly environment.
